So that’s it
A trailer for the original Dune, this is the first of the Great Dune Schools trilogy, which tells the story of how a Rossak sister evolved into a Bene Gesserit. Referred to in AniMat’s crazy animated film Actors: The New Normal (2020) . I wanted to be short and to the point, but I felt compelled to expand on my thoughts. There was a time when writers knew how to weave exposition into a narrative without it feeling forced and contrived.
They move history but are forgotten
I understand it’s the first episode, but do they have to explain everything like it’s not common knowledge. Watson (Valya), Mark Strong (The Emperor), Travis Fimmel (Hart) and Sarah-Sofie Boussnina (The Princess) give good performances. I feel the show is in good hands. The rest of the characters didn’t interest me.
I guess we’ll see how that develops
I had a hard time concentrating on the first episode. It seemed to be part of a whole that could not be divided. I will wait for the whole season before consuming more episodes. They did a great job with the images.
