Two rival fixers cross paths when they are both called upon to help cover up the wrongdoing of a prominent New York official. In one explosive night, they’ll have to put aside their petty grievances and selfishness to get the job done. Sony, Lionsgate, Apple and Netflix entered into a bidding war for the movie package before Apple closed the deal. Brad Pitt and George Clooney, who are producing the film through their production companies, are less likely to discuss a theatrical release with Apple. . She brings a non-prostitute (Austin Abrams) back to her hotel room, where he appears dead. She calls a special number for a repairman (George Clooney). Turns out the hotel manager also called her cleaner (Brad Pitt). It’s a fun thing to do with a police thriller. The meat and potatoes of this one is watching Clooney and Pitt play off each other. They’ve done this before while having fun and it’s old hat to the boys. I would have liked to keep Amy Ryan, but they replaced her with Austin Abrams. There’s a really fun chase in the middle. For most of the film, I try to identify with the Clooney-like situation. Finally, my problem is that I don’t understand the whole scheme. Whether we realize it or not, the boys seem to know their stuff. I’m not sure about that. It’s still good light fun, but it won’t be remembered as anything in the future..
